The Lebedeff Eldercare Resource Center opened to the community on May 23, 2001 and is free and open to the public. It is dedicated to Dr. Evelyn Morrow Lebedeff, whose generosity and support of programs to improve the care of older adults in our community is deeply appreciated.

Located in MemoryCare’s Asheville office, the center is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.

The Eldercare Resource Center provides information to the public on healthy aging, exercise, nutrition, spirituality, age-related illnesses (with an extensive section on memory disorders), caregiving, community resources, ethics, and end-of-life care. Books, videos, pamphlets, and journals on these and related topics are available for review and check-out. High speed internet access is available for on-line searches for relevant, up-to-date, health information.

This resource center is for anyone who wants to learn more about aging issues: middle aged  and older adults, caregivers, and professionals in aging disciplines. A special section for children is also available.
